Abundance

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 27, 2026 App: Abundance (Android) Developer: EnigmaMachineDev

Overview

Abundance is an offline-first Android application. It does not connect to the internet, does not collect personal information, and does not transmit any data to external servers or third parties. All data you create in Abundance stays on your device.

Information We Collect

Abundance does not collect any personal information. The app stores the following data locally on your device, in a private application folder:

  • Your daily journal entries (gratitude lists, reflections, and timestamps)
  • App settings and preferences (notification times, gratefuls per entry, excluded words)

None of this data is linked to your identity, uploaded anywhere, or shared with any third party.

How We Use Your Data

Data stored by Abundance is used solely to operate the app's features on your device:

  • Displaying your journal entries and history
  • Calculating streaks and word patterns for the insights view
  • Scheduling notification reminders at times you configure
  • Restoring app state between sessions

Notifications

Abundance can send optional daily reminder notifications to prompt you to write an entry. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device using the Android notification system — no remote push service is used. You can disable notifications at any time in the app settings or in your Android system settings.

Export & Import

Abundance includes an optional export feature. You can export your journal data as a JSON file through Android's standard share sheet. Import is handled through Android's system file picker. Neither process routes data through any server — all file operations are local and on-device. You choose what you do with exported files.

Permissions Required

Abundance requests only the permissions needed for features you actively use:

  • Notifications — used to send daily reminder prompts at times you configure. Required on Android 13 and later
  • Storage Access Framework — used for the optional import and export features. Android manages file access through the system file picker and share sheet; no broad storage permission is required

Abundance does not request access to your camera, photos, contacts, location, microphone, or any other sensitive system resource beyond the above.

Data Storage & Security

All app data is stored in a private application folder that belongs to Abundance and is not accessible to other apps. This data is removed when you uninstall Abundance. If you have Android's built-in backup enabled, your device OS may back up app data to your Google account; this is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.

Data Sharing

Abundance does not share any data with third parties. There are no analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, advertising networks, or external APIs integrated into the app.

Deleting Your Data

You can delete all data stored by Abundance at any time by clearing the app's data in your Android settings (Settings → Apps → Abundance → Storage → Clear Data), or by uninstalling the app.

Children's Privacy

Abundance does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app collects no personal information from any user, regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of Abundance after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
